Scholarship Requirements: 
The requirements are determined by the organization issuing the scholarship and the purpose of the scholarship.  Some general requirements are:
  1. Must be purusing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, mathematics or science.
  2. Must have a good academic standing.
  3. Must have passion for science and engineering including green technologies.
  4. Financial need may be required for some of the scholarships.
  5. Minority status may be required for some of the other scholarships.
  6. Employment relationship through a parent or dependent may be required.

American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) GM Scholarship

The GM Scholarship at AISES enables American Indian students become scientists and engineers.  Students can learn more about this scholarship by writing to P.O. Box 9828, 2305 Renard SE, Suite 200, Albuquerque, NM 87119-9828

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

This scholarship by Buick and the General Motors Foundation created recognizes and rewards 1,100 college-bound students who excel both in the classroom and in the community. This is a renewable schoarship for four years which offers up to $25,000 a year to 100 students and an $2,000 a year to additional 1,000 students. Applicants must be high school seniors or high school graduates entering an undergraduate program for the first time and demonstrate an interest in the automotive industry.

General Motors Minority Engineering and Science Scholarship (MES)

This scholarship supports outstanding minority students enrolled as full-time students in an engineering or science program. Qualified students may also get a summer internships at a General Motors. GM Hispanic Scholarship Fund

HSF provides GM sponsored scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic American background who attend a higher education institution in the United States and have an interest in Automotive Engineering or Industry. High School Scholarship

Through Michigan Colleges Foundation (MCF), GM offers scholarship money to graduating high school seniors from the Detroit area attending Michigan Private Colleges affiliated with MCF.

GM NACME Scholarship

Through the White Plains, NY based National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, GM helps underrepresented minority youth to receive a strong education in science and engineering disciplines and pursue rewarding career.

GM Scholarship for Women

Through the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) GM empowers women to  pursue education and careers in engineering and leadership.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Endowed Scholarships (EEOC)

GM offers scholarship qualifying GM employees and children of employees who are attedning one of the 37 EEOC schools.   Interested students shall contact the financial aid office fo their school to learn more about this opportunity.

GM Key Institution Scholarships

General Motors offers scholarships to key colleges and universities offering programs of interest to GM. Student must be studying engineering and/or business.  The scholarship are administered directly by each institution.
